FAQ
- Do you serve beer at the hostel?
Nope, but we’re close to all the bars in town! We love rum and ice-cold beer as much as the next guy, but we like to be an oasis in Tamarindo that respects your rest after hours. Friends of guests are allowed entry to our courtyard and pool area, and we frequently have BBQs for everyone to kick back and meet the group, but we try to keep noise at a minimum once our guests have gone to bed.
- Are you a surf hostel?
Yes! Well, kind of. We are home to GOOD VIBES Surf School. We consider ourself a boutique surf hostel as most of our guests are commonly first-timers or surf addicts, but we attract every kind of traveler. Marco, GOOD VIBES founder, lives and breathes surfing.
- Are my passport and personal items safe?
Absolutely. We offer free lockers (bring your own padlock) that can fit phones, passports, cash and small personal items. Our reception desk runs from 7:30am until 10:30pm and we provide 24-hour security. Our hostel is surrounded by barrier walls with a single entrance that is closed outside of reception hours. To get in, give us a buzz and we’ll open the door for you.
- Can you walk to the beach? How far is it?
Of course! Even though we are conveniently located away the noise of town, we are just a 4-5 minute walk to Tamarindo Beach and town center. We’re located at the end of a street, which gives us extra security for your personal items and car.
